Preventive measures for chip capacitors
storage
In order to maintain the solderability of the terminal electrodes and keep the packaging materials in good condition, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the temperature and humidity of the storage area. Humidity should be kept as low as possible.
The recommended ambient temperature must be maintained below 40 ℃. Even under ideal storage conditions, the solderability of capacitors will deteriorate over time, and capacitors should be used within 6 months after delivery. Ceramic chip capacitors should be stored in a place free of chlorine or sulfur in the air.
Environmental temperature: below 30 ℃
Humidity: Relative humidity below 70%
The capacitance value of high dielectric constant capacitors will gradually decrease over time, so extra caution should be taken when designing circuits. Even if the capacitance value decreases over time, it will return to its initial value by heat treatment at 150 ℃ for 1 hour.
Technical considerations
If the capacitor is stored in a high temperature and humidity environment, it may quickly lead to poor solderability due to terminal oxidation and quality loss of tapping/packaging materials. Therefore, capacitors should be used within 6 months after delivery. If the above deadline is exceeded, please check the solderability before using the capacitor.
